The brilliant actor is returning to Hum TV after 8 years. Faysal Quraishi’s upcoming Hum TV drama is Zulm and the story of the drama is about injustice and resilience.
The Bashar Momin actor is portraying the character of a cruel and notorious man. On the work front. was last seen in the drama serial ‘Mol’ along with Navin Waqar and Iqra Aziz.
Faysal Quraishi has so far given unlimited hit serials which include ‘Toba Tek Singh’, ‘Bashar Momin’, ‘Qaid-e-Tanhai’, ‘Meri Zaat Zarra-eBenishan’, ‘Zakham’, ‘Bheegi Palkain’, ‘Aap Kay Liye’, ‘Mol’, ‘Farq’, ‘Dil-e-Momin’, ‘Haiwan’ and others.
Here’s why Faysal Quraishi is criticizing Pakistani dramas and viewers
In January 2023, Quraishi criticized Pakistani dramas and viewers. In an interview, the host questioned why Quraishi chose the character of a mature man who marries a younger girl in every single drama, and he replied that he can’t become young now.
Quraishi continued his stance that what else can he do? “Yes, I agree that we can make mature love stories but there is a problem, our people only watch the dramas that address marriages, I can only name the drama serial Pinjra which is showing different content, all dramas revolve around marriage.”
He added, “I did a drama serial ‘Naraz’, the story of the drama revolved around the son and father’s relationship but nobody watched it, in Pakistan, there is no other issue than Shadi if you ask from people, ‘what will you do?’, people reply, ‘shadi’ and that’s how it is.”
He once again asked what can the drama makers do when people want to watch this kind of drama. He said, “We try to make changes but we can’t do so more because it is a hit formula and then we do satisfy our urge of performing challenging characters through projects like ‘Aik Thi Laila’”.
