ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority on Friday approved Rs4.45 per unit increase in power tariff for consumers of Karachi Electric (KE).
The regulatory authority has increased the electricity price on account of first quarterly adjustment for previous fiscal year 2022-23.
A notification issued by Nepra said the additional amount will be recovered from consumers in bills for the months of October and November.

Earlier, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Thursday notified an increase in the price of electricity by Rs 1.71 per unit on account of Fuel Charges Adjustment (FCA) for the month of Oct 2023.
This surge in power tariff is set to impact all consumer categories. The approved tariff hike will be shown separately on consumers’ bills.

Couple of days ago, the Nepra approved hike in the power tariff by Rs 3.28 per unit on account of Fuel Charges Adjustment (FCA) from Oct 2023 to March 2024.
