Islamabad: Pakistan’s overall inflation rate has increased by 37 percent, as reported by the statistics department, which released weekly inflation figures.
According to the latest figures, the overall inflation rate for the current week stands at 37.33 percent. Prices of 14 commodities have increased within a week.
According to the report, a decrease in prices has also been recorded for 14 items, while the prices of 23 essential items remained stable.
The statistics department stated in the report that within a week, the price per kilogram of onions has increased by Rs. 17.63, while the price per kilogram of garlic has increased by Rs. 21.58.

Within a week, yogurt, lentils, firewood, milk, and chicken have also become more expensive commodities.
In addition to this, the price per kilogram of tomatoes has decreased by up to Rs. 7, while live chicken is now Rs. 15.14 cheaper, and sugar is available at a discounted price of Rs. 2.49 per kilogram.
