FAISABAD: At least eighteen people were killed when a passenger bus caught fire due near Pindi Bhattian Motorway near Faisalabad.
According to a Motorway police spokesperson, the passenger bus was going from Karachi to Islamabad when the incident occurred due to a short circuit.
The spokesperson said fifteen passengers were timely evacuated by rescue officials. The killed and injured passengers have been shifted to hospital with the assistance of relief agencies.
Motorway Police has started rescue operations. There is a fear of an increase in casualties. Motorway Police has established an accident information desk and an emergency centre.
