The 34-year-old Indian woman Anju, who travelled to Pakistan to marry her Facebook friend, said that she would visit India with her Pakistani husband Nasrullah and urged neighbouring country’s media to stop destroying her character.
“I am only telling the truth. It’s not like I don’t love India. I love India and will go back to my country with my husband,” she said in a video statement.
While refuting the allegations of Indian media who termed her as a traitor, Anju said: “I am also a human being, I request Indian media to think positively about me and stop the baseless talk. I am not anyone’s enemy.”
