A transgender named Anaya Rahimi has claimed that Emirates Airlines barred her from travelling on board because of her gender.
Rahimi recently took to social media to speak up against the discrimination she had to face because of her gender and was not allowed to board her flight from Lahore to Tunisia, with a layover in Dubai.

Despite receiving confirmation from the Emirates head office that there were no policies restricting the travel of transgender individuals, she was told last minute that she could not get on the plane.
In a post, Rahimi wrote: “This is how these Arab Countries treat human beings there double standards are not new to us. If you’ve visited UAE, you must know what’s the condition there its called second LGBT Heaven for a reason.”

According to Rahimi, airlines will accept you with the wrong ID (male or female) but rejects you with the real identity. She added, “Due to this incident Im under severe stress and I really felt ashamed and humiliated when I got confirmation that due to this I won’t be able to attend the meetings in Tunisia.”
In another post, she claimed that she will sue Emirates for the discrimination she has faced because it’s the fourth case that has happened in UAE. According to her, two others were not reported. Here’ what she posted:
