DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule of the World Cup 2023.
According to ICC, the ODI World Cup will be played from October 5 to November 19. The first match will be played between defending champions England and New Zealand in Ahmedabad, India.
In the ODI World Cup, Pakistan will play its first match on October 6 in Qualifier One in Hyderabad, while the arch-rivals Pakistan and India will face off in Ahmedabad on October 15.

Ignoring Pakistan’s objection, the Pakistan-India match was held in Ahmedabad, Pakistan had demanded to change the venues of the match against Afghanistan and Australia.

It should be noted that the trophy tour of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 scheduled in India this year started in a unique way from space.
The trophy was launched into space at a height of 120,000 feet from the ground, from where the trophy landed at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The ICC World Cup trophy will be taken to various cities in India from today while the trophy will visit Pakistan from July 31 to August 4.
