Famous fashion designer Maria Butt – aka Maria B – has revealed that the fashion mafia once declared that she would not succeed.
In a podcast, Maria B talked about the fashion mafia’s awful treatment towards her when she was an ‘Awami designer’ (aka local designer).
According to her, the fashion mafia had declared that she would not succeed and they spread the rumours that she had gotten billions in alimony after her divorce.
While talking about her divorce, Maria B also opened up about the struggles she has seen during her first marriage and shared that the world only sees her success today but it was not always this way.
She opened up about her first divorce and shared that she was financially broke back then and did not have money to pay her employees and she was living in a rented house.

She said that her father then sold his house without telling her and shifted with her so he could help and float her business
For those who are unaware, Maria Butt is one of the famous fashion designers in Pakistan who runs her business under ‘Maria B’. Hailing from Kashmir, she was born and raised in Kashmir and currently lives in Lahore.
She was once married to a man who was 20 years older than her when she was in college. They even had a daughter named Fatima, due to the huge age difference and communication gap, she parted ways with first husband. Maria B later got married to a businessman Tahir and was blessed with a son.
