ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit Balochistan today to meet Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
According to the details, PM Shehbaz Sharif will visit Balochistan today, during which he will meet Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi on the Pakistan-Iran border. Later the project will be jointly inaugurated.
The prime minister and the Iranian president will inaugurate the 100 MW electricity transmission line. On this occasion, the two heads of state will also discuss Pakistan-Iran relations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the establishment of the border market will create employment opportunities for those living near the border. The government is also working on five more border markets.

Officials said that other border markets will also be opened for trade soon. The transmission line was constructed in record time due to the interest of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The completion of the transmission line will increase the total amount of low-cost electricity from Iran to 204 megawatts. Officials said that the project will help in overcoming the energy crisis in Pakistan.
