Bilateral relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia have been strained due to many geographical and political issues, but in March 2023, China’s efforts got successful and the restoration of diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia was announced after talks mediated by China, which is very welcome in the changing context of the region.
The tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran has been affecting not only the region but also many other countries of the world, but the restoration of relations between the two countries will be beneficial not only for this region but also for the whole world except America.
The tension between the two countries has also left a serious negative impact on Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Libya and other countries because when the parties start using religion as a weapon in foreign policy, it ends up being a loss.
The far-reaching effects of the newly emerging geographical scenario in the region can be seen already and the restoration of Iran-Saudi relations will not only be a source of satisfaction for these two countries, but also for Pakistan, the Gulf and all the countries connected to the OIC.
Only Israel and the US are unhappy with the easing of tensions and the restoration of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia. We remember that Saudi Arabia allowed Israel to use its airspace some time ago with a clause to maintain the permission even in the event of an attack on Iran.
The relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran have started to reach a peak so quickly that after the recent evacuation of Iranian citizens from Sudan, high military officials were present in Saudi Arabia to welcome Iranian citizens.
The enthusiastic welcome of the Saudi authorities and the recognition of the Iranian citizens as their brothers and sisters has sent a positive message to the entire Muslim Ummah and the same spirit needs to be maintained in the future.So that the unity in the Muslim Ummah is strong and the OIC block of 57 countries can become the true voice of Muslims.
The OIC, established under Chapter 8 of the UN Charter, has the same rights as the European and African Union to take matters to the Security Council. In the last few years, hundreds of Muslims in Yemen, Syria and other countries were killed by Muslims due to their mutual grudges.

Until a few months ago, the Muslims seemed to be at odds with each other and thirsty for each other’s blood, but by the grace of Allah, the situation seems to be improving and it can be hoped that a new path will be paved now. And due to the clearing of tensions, there will be signs of improvement in the economic conditions.
We should always remember one thing that the sale of weapons also plays a significant role in the economy of the major countries of the world and how will the weapons of these countries be sold when their will be no war. Therefore, the role of arms sales in the world’s conflict and carnage is also very important.
It is a fact that America, Israel and some other countries may not like the friendship between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Therefore, the big powers may play behind-the-scenes tricks to increase tension and maintain their influence, but China’s unprecedented role here cannot be ignored.
China played the biggest role in the restoration of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran and China is going to invest 400 billion dollars in Iran in the next 25 years. The defense and intelligence sharing agreement with Iran and China’s investment in Saudi Arabia, access to Africa via Bab al-Mandab, CPEC and other major projects will make things easier to understand.
Now if we look at Pakistan, our economy is stuck in the circle of difficulties, but despite this, the importance of Pakistan can increase due to the changing conditions and geographical variations, which can also increase the chances of improvement in the economic conditions of Pakistan.
We have expressed many times before that reducing the gradually increasing influence of China is the main point in the foreign policy of the United States and curbing the power of China is the main goal of the United States. So that to secure the interests of America as a superpower, however, this does not seem possible for a long time.
Now the important thing here is that Pakistan has a transitional relationship with the US and a long-standing relationship with China. As the world changes rapidly, the importance of the Petro-dollar is diminishing. Different countries are trading in their currency, India has opened accounts in more than 15 countries and started trading. As petroleum and other trade issues move away from the dollar to other currencies, it is felt that the US can intensify its efforts to limit China.
Recently, the United States for the first time signed a military agreement called OKAS, which includes Australia and the United Kingdom in addition to the United States, and this defense alliance also includes submarines, which are intended to monitor China’s supply points.
China has become the largest trading country since 2010 and the largest manufacturing country since 2013 and is looking to the future through CPEC and other projects.
China is also making efforts to solve the issue of Israel and Palestine. Therefore, it is not far-fetched to say that China can play an important role in ending the tension between Pakistan and India.
Looking at all the circumstances and the situation, it seems that China can emerge as the most powerful country in the world in a few years, surpassing the US due to its rapid and gradual development.
