RAWALPINDI: Security Forces on May 01 conducted 2 intelligence-based operations in Tank and DI Khan on reported presence of terrorists in the area. The operations were carried out after receiving credible intelligence reports about the presence of terrorists in the region.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of armed forces, security forces during their operations successfully engaged in an intense exchange of fire with the terrorists. As a result of the encounter, 3 terrorists were neutralized, including the terrorist commander Jabbar Shah alias Shah Alam. Two other terrorists were injured during the exchange.
After the operations, the security forces started a sanitization process to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. The forces remain committed to eliminating the menace of terrorism from Pakistan and ensuring the safety and security of the citizens.
