Looks like inDrive just like Uber might face a lawsuit soon as a woman from Lahore has claimed of being verbally harassed by drivers on the platform.
A Lahori girl’s story has become the latest example of how horrifying living a daily life can become if people around you aren’t safe to be with.
In multiple tweets, Aruj Khaliq from Lahore posted a detailed story about how she was not only harassed but locked in a driver’s car, verbally abused, and followed publically during broad daylight.
Soon after her story became viral, it came to light that she was not the only girl being harassed by one of the inDrive drivers. There were multiple girls who have reported similar complaints of harassments on social media; let’s have a look:
Booked a ride on @inDrive today, driver harassed us (kept touching) and did not pull over until we shouted, kept driving the car on the slowest speed, took wrong turns and didn’t know how to use maps as well. On what basis do you guys register these b*stards as drivers? pic.twitter.com/2GEYZrm7L4

SO many girls are coming forward with harassment stories where the same driver harassed ALL of them. Shame on @inDrive that he’s still driving for them & they haven’t taken any strict action against him. He just changes his picture, the car number is same in all screenshots. pic.twitter.com/1Pm4fsgISt

@inDrive such a pathetic service. If you could only do a background check and have a better customer service, this wouldn’t have happened. This is literally traumatisation. Been sharing such cases and now had to experience it myself. pic.twitter.com/laaG77Wyzn

Not just this women but many others are commenting their experiences under the post she has made. He has used very abusive language and demanded extra fare which was 3x more than the one which was done on the App.

Might as well add mine! [Attached below.] @inDrive has no policy for keeping the user’s phone number or data private. And since InDrive takes no action when a driver is reported, the drivers have become fearless and harass women without shame. Stopped using it, coz unsafe. https://t.co/yrHpX1OTNJ pic.twitter.com/kGuRD0kzOF
