KOHAT: Militants riding a bike targeted the gate of the Police Training Centre Kohat with a hand grenade that exploded on the main gate. Police, however, said there were no casualties. Bomb disposal squad was summoned to the crime scene to examine the material used in the attack.
DPO Kohat Shafiullah Khan Gandapur and other officials rushed to the spot while police cordoned off the area.
Police have been asked to tighten security on account of Friday prayers today, while snap checking has also been increased.
Meanwhile, in Jamrud’s Shah Kas area, Captain Sharbat Khan of Levies force was shot dead by unknown assailants last night. Reports suggest Capt Sharbat Khan was staying at the residence of one of his relatives when gunmen targeted him.
