KARACHI: Soon after the assassination attempt on Chairman PTI Imran Khan in Wazirabad on Thursday, Twitter erupted in anger with furious reactions, conspiracy theories and hundreds of footages showing the incident as it happened. However, within hours after the incident, #SackGeneralFaisal became top trend on Twitter.

This came after some users posted videos of Chairman PTI Imran Khan naming Maj General Faisal as one of those responsible for torture on Senator Azam Swati, and demanding of the Army Chief General Bajwa to sack him.

PTI leader Shireen Mazari took to twitter to raise the same demand. She wrote that Imran Khan had named 3 names who are responsible for the assassination attempt on his life. Action must be taken against them so lives of political leaders are not threatened by assassination schemes.
