BANNU: A commander of Akhtar Khalil led Taliban faction is reported to have been killed Sunday morning in an intelligence based operation in Janikhel area of Bannu District.
According to reports gathered by MM News, the Counter Terror Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies on a tip off conducted an operation in Janikhel area of Bannu district.

During the operation, commander of Akhtar Khalil led Taliban faction, Nawaz alias Umar successfully neutralized. MM News has learnt that the slain terrorist was considered instrumental in raising funds by controlling extortionist operations against Pakistani businesses and civilians in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and also planned several terror attacks against Pakistani civilians (including attacks on schoolchildren) and soldiers
