ISLAMABAD: People of Karachi may get another relief in their electricity bills as the power utility K Electric has filed a request with NEPRA, seeking to reduce power tariff on account of monthly fuel adjustment for the month of September.

MM News has learnt that if approved, the power tariff for the people of Karachi would become cheaper by Rs 4.62 per unit, and the electricity consumers would be able to get relief to the tune of Rs.7.74 billion.

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) is scheduled to hold hearing K Electric’s application on October 25, after which a final decision would be taken.
