ISLAMABAD: Around 278 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country, while two more citizens have died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to the statistics released by the National Institute of Health, a total of 15,67,147 people have been affected by a coronavirus, while 30,559 have died due to the virus. The mortality rate remains at 2 percent.

During the last 24 hours, 15,803 tests were conducted for the diagnosis of coronavirus, while the ratio of positive cases was 1.76 percent. The total number of tests was 3,2,360 while 118 patients with coronavirus are in intensive care.
During the last 24 hours across the country, 464 patients have defeated coronavirus, with which the number of recovered people has reached 15,27,393, while active cases have increased to 9,195. Punjab and Sindh were the most affected by the virus.
In Sindh, 5,93,1600 people were affected by coronavirus while 8,218 died. In Punjab, 5,20,97 citizens were affected while 13,602 lost their lives. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was the third largest province affected by the virus.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,23,69 people were affected by coronavirus while 6,347 died. In Islamabad, 1,38,852 people were affected by coronavirus while 1,030 died. 44,185 corona cases were reported in Azad Kashmir.
793 people died due to the virus in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. In Balochistan, 35,929 citizens have been affected by coronavirus while 378 have lost their lives. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 11,999 people have been affected by a coronavirus, while 191 have died.
