Former Miss Brazil, Glessie Correa, has died after unexpected complications during a normal operation to remove the tonsils.

The Brazilian authorities announced the death of the 27-year-old model. The model suffered a hemorrhage and a heart attack before falling into a coma in early April, just five days after the surgery, and authorities announced her death days ago.
