NAB ordinance is approved to save PM's friends: Akram Durrani

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) senior leader Akram Khan Durrani in multiple corruption cases.
Akram Durrani is currently facing probe in connection with assets beyond known sources of income, illegal recruitments, and allotment of plots for the mosques.

According to the NAB, Durrani allegedly allotted plots owned by the DHA Foundation in sectors 1-12 and 1-16 to his near and dear ones and caused losses to the national treasury.
Durrani had served as the federal minister for housing and works during the last Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government.

He was the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa when the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal ruled the province after the 2002 elections.
