ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has said that the development projects of the Modi government in occupied Jammu and Kashmir are against the Indus Water Treaty between Pakistan and India, while the Indian Prime Minister paid a brief visit to Jammu while staying inside a large security fence.
According to details, the Foreign Office spokesperson said in a statement that on the occasion of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to occupied Kashmir, the oppressed Kashmiris of the occupied valley observed a black day against the Indian occupation.
In a statement, the spokesperson of the office condemned the groundbreaking ceremony of the hydropower project on the Chenab river and said that the Indian design of the retail hydropower project was controversial in Pakistan and no information was given about the electric plant.

Yesterday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of India’s National Panchayati Raj Day and announced the inauguration of several development projects. This is the same Prime Minister who imposed a lockdown on Kashmir in August 2019.
Oppressed Kashmiris are still protesting against the Modi government’s move to change the constitutional status of occupied Kashmir. A Foreign Office spokesman said that the Kashmiri nation was angry with India. Indian forces have imposed a curfew on Kashmir.
