BANNU: A landmine explosion in North Waziristan tribal district martyred two security personnel and injured one on Monday.
The two security personnel were passing the Mir Ali area when the landmine exploded with a bang, killing Sepoy Ansar Mehdi and Sepoy Shaftqt Shah and injuring Havaldar Murtaza.

The security forces have cordoned off the area and started search operation.
Last week, a man was nabbed for smuggling more than 6000 capsules filled with drugs at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore. Nazeer Khan belonged to district Bannu.
He was arrested with a bag of drugs that he planned to drop off in the city of Dammam in Saudi Arabia.
