Petition to arrest Maulana Fazlur Rehman filed in LHC

LAHORE: A petition to arrest Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman filed in Lahore High Court, today on Monday.
Sources said that it is mentioned in the plea that JUI-F Chief is inciting the attendees of anti-government march against Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) led government and incumbent premier Imran Khan.

The speeches of Maulana can add to anarchy among the participants of the Azadi March, the petition said.
The plea also added that provoking people against the government is a case of rebellion. It further requested court to issues directives to arrest Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

Earlier, the Chief of JUI-F called All Parties Conference (APC) today to form future strategy for the anti-government march. The meeting will be held at the residence of Maulana.
Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will not attend APC due to other political commitments. However, the senior leadership of the party will attend the meeting.
