KARACHI: S M Muneer Patron in-Chief, Iftikhar Ali Malik, Chairman UBG and President SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Zubair Tufail President UBG have congratulated Abdul Razak Dawood Commerce Advisor to Prime Minister, and Syed Amin Ul Haque, Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, IT Exporters, IT professional and entrepreneurs on achieving the landmark of ever highest export of information technology of more than $ 2 billion mark for the first time in the country’s history.
Federal Minister Syed Amin Ul Haque has expressed hope that IT exports will exceed the target of 3.5 billion by December 2022. This achievement has also uplifted the soft image of Pakistan in the international market which can be further enhanced in the times to come, he said.

The UBG leadership also appreciated the various incentives offered by the government in taxes and procedures in the budget to encourage IT exports yielding remarkable achievements particularly in terms of exports surpassing the last year IT export which was the US $ 1.44 billion.
They said that IT could bring economic revolution creating bright future for the young generation and IT importance has now been realized particularly in the pandemic of COVID.
