KARACHI: Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar has said that the government in Sindh does nothing.
Addressing a rally in Karachi, Asad Umar said that they were trying to solve the problems of Karachi because Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) believed in public service.
He said that the government in Sindh for 13 years does not do anything in Karachi and most of the projects in Karachi belong to the federation. The federal minister said that the problem of public transport in Karachi has been solved.
The federal government provided green line bus service to Karachi but Sindh is under the control of the government which is not doing any work, he claimed.
He said that the country is run on the tax of traders and the KCR project has also been included under Karachi Transformation Plan.
Talking about the census, Asad Umar said that the census is a long-standing issue of Karachi that has been politicized but no one has solved the issue of the census to date.
He said that digital census is being conducted in modern style in PTI government and the first pilot project will be done in May, then census will be audited again and final announcement of the census will be made in 2022.
