ISLAMABAD: It has been decided to seal off nine more educational institutions aimed at preventing the virus, due to the rising number of corona cases in the federal capital.
According to details, the Islamabad administration decided to close educational institutions to prevent coronavirus. DHO Islamabad has issued a letter to close educational institutions.
A letter from DHO Islamabad said that coronavirus cases have been reported in nine different educational institutions of the city which are being sealed. So far 17 educational institutions have been sealed. Earlier, 5,472 new cases of the coronavirus were reported across the country, while eight more died of the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to data released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 1,338,993 people were infected with coronavirus across the country while 29,037 civilians lost their lives to the virus.
In Azad Kashmir, 34,811 people were infected with Corona and 749 died. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 10,455 cases and 187 deaths were reported. In Islamabad, 112,557 people were infected with Corona and 969 died.
