ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Thursday announced a Re1 increase in the price of petrol for the month of November.

The price of petrol was increased from Rs113.24 to Rs114.24 per litre, as recommended by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

High speed diesel (HSD) price was increased by Rs0.27 per litre as it went up from Rs127.14 per litre to Rs127.41 per litre.

The prices of kerosene and light diesel oil (LDO) saw a reduction of Rs2.39 and Rs6.56 respectively.

Kerosene will be priced at Rs97.18 and light diesel oil at Rs85.33 per litre.

Yesterdaty, Ogra had forwarded the summary to the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) which sends it to the Ministry of Finance for approval.

For both petrol and high-speed diesel, the suggested increase is less than one per cent while the proposed reduction for kerosene oil is 2.4% and LDO 7.14%.

Brent crude oil price in the international market stood at $61.15 per barrel on October 30 while on September 27, it was $62.22 per barrel.

Pakistan has started receiving monthly oil supplies worth $275 million from Saudi Arabia on deferred payments since July 2019 over three years.
