ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed has said those who fail to answer about the Pandora Papers leaks will be arrested.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the minister said the government is initiating the probe into Pandora leaks and every Pakistani named in the leaks, should have to answer.
He said the armed forces are the guarantor of the country’s security and regretted the language used by the PML (N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz against the institutions.
He said they will get nothing by targeting the institutions whose capabilities are recognized worldwide.
Talking about barring former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani from traveling abroad, Sheikh Rashid said that his name is placed on Exit Control List (ECL); however, he can approach Interior Ministry or court regarding the matter.
The Interior Minister said the FIA has been tasked to take action against those hoarding dollars. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed to provide relief to the masses.
Sheikh Rasheed said online visa for Afghanistan will be started in a matter of ten days.
Earlier, the federal minister had said Pakistan was itself a victim as the nation had paid a huge price with 70,000 casualties, in addition to huge economic losses.
He had said India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), National Directorate of Security (NDS) and Israeli spy agency were trying to hamper peace in Pakistan, besides also carrying out media campaign against it.
Rasheed had said that it was high time to jointly counter the conspiracies of hostile forces against the motherland and added opposition parties were not cognizant of regional changes during the upcoming six months.
