PESHAWAR: Some 120 police personnel lost their lives, 333 injured in 77 terror attacks that took place across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in last 4 months.
According to a report that surfaced online on Monday, terrorists conducted 77 attacks on policemen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) during the last 120 days, resulting in the martyrdom of 120 cops and leaving 333 others injured. The majority of the attacks were carried out in Bannu, where terrorists conducted 24 attacks.
The report further states that 23 attacks were carried out in Dera Ismail Khan, and 15 in Peshawar, with Peshawar having the highest number of martyrs as 88 policemen sacrificed their lives for the defense of the homeland. In Malakand, 12 cops were martyred, in Bannu 11, and three policemen lost their lives in DI Khan terror attacks during the last four months.
These attacks have raised concerns about the security situation in KP, prompting administration to adopt stricter measures.
