Four passengers were killed and at least 25 others were injured when a speeding bus overturned near the Dargah Samandri Baba on Link Road in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Hadeed area last night.
Rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately after the accident and transported the injured to Jinnah Hospital and a nearby private medical facility.
Police said the accident occurred due to overspeeding, which caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
The bus veered off the road and overturned, resulting in a tragic loss of life.
According to rescue officials, the deceased include two women and two men. They identified the victims as 35-year-old Kausar Saeed, 59-year-old Abdul Ghafoor, 25-year-old Ghulam Fareed, and 60-year-old Panna Muhammad Ali.
Rescue workers completed the emergency operation on-site, while police collected evidence and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.
The accident briefly disrupted traffic on Link Road, but police quickly cleared the route and restored normal flow.
