The U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has added several Pakistani entities to its Entity List due to their involvement in “unsafeguarded” nuclear activities and contributions to Pakistan’s ballistic missile program.

In total, over 70 entities from various countries, including Pakistan, China, and Iran, were added under the revised Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The listed entities are identified as posing a threat to US national security or foreign policy interests.

Twelve Pakistani firms, such as Britlite Engineering and NA Enterprises, faced restrictions for allegedly engaging in unsafeguarded nuclear activities.

Moreover, seven companies, including Allied Business Concerns and Linkers Automation, were penalized for their alleged roles in advancing Pakistan’s missile program.

The U.S. federal register stated that these companies were deemed to act contrary to U.S. national security or foreign policy interests.

The EAR imposes stricter license requirements and limits license exceptions for exports, re-exports, and in-country transfers involving these entities.
