QUETTA: At least 18 passengers were killed and 30 others were injured on Friday morning when a coach crashed in Khuzdar district of Balochistan.
The passenger coach was traveling from Wadh to Dadu in Sindh when it met with an accident at Khori near Khuzdar. As result 15 passengers died on the spot while 30 others were injured.
As soon as the accident was reported, rescue and Levies personnel rushed to the spot and started rescue operations. The injured and deceased were shifted to Teaching Hospital Khuzdar, where three more people died and the death toll rose to 18.
The condition of some of the injured is said to be critical. The passenger coach reportedly lost control and turned turtle due to over-speeding.
On May 31, at least six people were killed while 30 others sustained injuries when the passenger bus they were travelling in turned turtle after skidding off a bridge in Khanewal.
According to rescue officials, the incident had taken place near Pull Rango. The ill-fated bus was on heading from Lahore to Multan when it met an accident. The driver of the vehicle had lost control while trying to avoid hitting a motorcycle, due to which the bus overturned.
