A disturbing case involving the gang rape of a 13-year-old girl has surfaced, with reports indicating that one of the accused is the son of a police officer, as reported by national media on Saturday.
According to details, a 13-year-old girl, a resident of the Saddar area in Shikarpur, was subjected to gang rape, and one of the accused is the son of a police officer. Doctors confirmed the rape of the 13-year-old girl during the initial examination, while the police have registered a case against two suspects.
SSP Shahzeb Chachar stated that the perpetrators have been identified as Tanveer Jaffri and Jawad Hakro, with one of the accused, Tanveer Jaffri, being the son of an ASI (Assistant Sub-Inspector) in the police.
The victim girl said that she had gone to a private clinic for a check-up, where she was drugged with a sedative mixed in water and then gang-raped. After the rape, a video was made to blackmail her, and the sexual abuse continued for two months.
The victim further stated that when the incidents of rape and blackmail escalated beyond limits, she informed her family, after which the matter came to light. She demanded that the accused involved in the incident be arrested and justice be served.
On the other hand, social and human rights circles have expressed deep sorrow and anger over the incident and demanded immediate justice. The public says that if a police officer’s son is also involved, the investigation should be impartial, and the criminals should be given strict punishment.
The victim’s family has appealed to the authorities for immediate action. The police are conducting raids to arrest the accused.
