On Monday, 12 international and domestic flights departing from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) were cancelled due to technical and operational issues, according to national media.
Among the cancellations was a Serene Air flight ER-811 to Jeddah. Two additional Serene Air flights, ER-522 and ER-524, were also called off, both scheduled to arrive in Karachi from Lahore.
Serene Air flights ER-502 and ER-504, set to land in Islamabad from Karachi, were also cancelled.
An Airblue flight PA-200, expected to land at New Islamabad International Airport (NIIA), was also shelved.
An Air Sial flight PF-123, scheduled to depart from Karachi for Lahore, was cancelled.
Emirates Airlines flight EK-609, en route to Karachi from Dubai, was also cancelled.
A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-241, expected to land in Karachi from Dammam, was called off.
Baltic Air flight OD-136, scheduled to land in Karachi from Kuala Lumpur, was cancelled, as was an Iran Air flight IR-813, which was due to land in Bahrain from Karachi.
