ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has claimed that former president Asif Ali Zardari built in Clifton area of Karachi through corruption.
The NAB filed a reply in an Accountability Court regarding the freezing of Clifton Karachi’s house of the former president in a fake accounts case.
The anti-graft watchdog stated that there is solid evidence that Zardari built the Clifton Karachi house through corruption and his clerk paid for the purchase of the Clifton house.
According to NAB, Rs.150 million was paid for the purchase of the house from the account of stenographer Mushtaq. Zardari was given a questionnaire regarding his resident but no satisfactory answer was given.
