KARACHI: The opening ceremony for the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League 2021 has been aired at Karachi’s National Stadium on Saturday and the fans termed the performance worst ever.
As per details, the social portals are filled up with hashtags related to PSL as the masses continue to post about the opening ceremony. The majority of them are noted criticizing the duration and Humaima Malick’s performances. A few say that Atif must have known that it was the PSL ceremony, not a concert.
Singer Atif Aslam was the first to perform and he began with his famous song ‘Aadat’ that brought him to the limelight more than a decade ago.
International singer Imran Khan raised the roof next with the ‘Amplifier’ song, with actress Humaima Malick performing next to him.
Naseebo Lal, Aima Baig and the Young Stunners brought an end to the performances in style by grooving to the official anthem of this season’s HBL PSL.
Journalist Ansar Abbasi said, “PCB should be ashamed of showing shamelessness and obscenity at the opening ceremony of PSL. Doesn’t Imran Khan and the government talk about the state of Madinah see this nonsense at the official level? PEMRA is also unable to see all this,” he added.
