ISLAMABAD: World Bank President David Malpass is expected to visit Pakistan on 31st October to celebrate the country’s addition among top-20 global reformers.
According to an official of the Board of Investment (BOI),  the World Bank chief will arrive in Islamabad to celebrate the addition of Pakistan among top-20 global reformers on the Ease of Doing Business Index.
The World Bank president and Prime Minister Imran Khan will co-chair a meeting of the Steering Committee on Doing Business Reforms to approve the future strategy.

The lender based in Washington and consultant will formally release its Ease of Doing Business Report on Thursday this week that will reveal rankings of 190 nations.
According to BOI officials, Pakistan can easily perform two more improvements in the areas of getting credit and enforcing contracts.
Pakistan topped up 11 places on the Ease of Doing Business Index and got 136th position in October 2018. It happened for the first time in 15 years.
The World Bank has acknowledged Pakistan as one of the six reformers this year out of nine in South Asia.
China, with eight reforms to its credit, is the overall champion this year. Saudi Arabia is another country that has also introduced significant reforms this year.
According to the report issued by the World Bank, Pakistan has improved in six areas which included starting a business, dealing with construction grants, getting electricity, registering property, paying taxes and trading across borders.
