LAHORE: A woman whose scandalous pictures with Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed went viral on social media has denied having any relation with the politician.
While speaking to a journalist, the woman who goes by the pseudonym Zahida, said that her pictures were photoshopped to malign her and the federal minister. The woman said she met Sheikh Rasheed only once while seeking a job for her siblings.
She denied any part in the scandalous campaign against the minister. She said Sheikh Rasheed is a well-known personality and she took the picture with him during their meeting at the Railways Ministry.
However, she said the pictures making rounds on the internet are “fake” and that probably Sheikh Rasheed’s opponents are unable to digest the reality of him becoming the interior minister.
“God knows who did this, I don’t have a slight idea. I wonder why these pictures were released after he became the minister,” she added. “I reckon his opponents are unable to digest him becoming the interior minister,” she said.
She also denied the rumours that she leaked the pictures in the first place. She swore that she never encountered any advances by the minister. The woman, whose father is also a Railways employee, showed full support to the minister. She hoped he would continue serving and will also become a minister in the next term as well.
She said the minister could investigate the matter, adding that she has been facing severe insults over the scandal and wants to know who are behind this scandal. Earlier this week, the controversial pictures of a man in a compromising position allegedly the federal minister went viral on social media.
