ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has asserted that this government was in contact with the United Kingdom government to get former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif deported, and he was willing to speak to Prime Minister Boris Johnson in this regard.
“We are in regular contact with the British officials in this regard. We are making full efforts to get him deported. Insha’Allah, we will bring him back to the country and keep him in jail,” he said during an exclusive interview with a private news channel.
The Prime Minister said that Nawaz Sharif had lied about his illness and did not undergo any treatment after being allowed to go to the UK. “Nawaz had always been favoured by the judiciary and the establishment. This is because Nawaz is a product of the establishment,” he added.
PM Imran reiterated that the PML-N supremo wanted to turn the Pakistan Army into Punjab Police, repeating accusations that the PML-N supremo wanted to control the armed forces.
The premier called the opposition leaders thieves, vowing to never let them form their government in Pakistan even if he does not remain in power.
“I will not let these thieves return to the government even if I am not in power. If they return, I will mobilise the masses and will stage a protest,” he remarked.
He also reiterated his accusation that the opposition leaders were demanding a National Reconciliation Order (NRO). “I had received reports about secret meetings. The state will be destroyed if the government gives them an NRO,” he asserted.
