Ayesha Fazli, the wife of Ali Zafar, has recently talked about the harassment charges filed against her husband by Meesha Shafi.
Ayesha Fazli, who has two children with Ali Zafar, during an anonymous Instagram Q/A session was asked about the whole situation and if she thinks Ali is innocent. To which Ayesha replied, “Of course! I was there when the blackmailing started and saw how the entire thing played out. Who all was involved. There is a lot that we uncovered.”
In April 2018, Meesha Sharif alleged on social media that Ali Zafar had sexually harassed her on multiple, prompting many users to voice their support for her and demanding Zafar respond to her allegations.

Later in November 2018, Zafar filed a complaint with the FIA cybercrime wing, alleging that many of the social media accounts that had been posting “threats and defamatory material” against him were created weeks before Shafi shared her allegations. This, he claims, was part of a strategy to malign him through a smear campaign.
Since coming to light in 2018, the case has widely been described as the launch of the #MeToo movement in Pakistan, a global campaign that seeks to publicize allegations of sexual harassment and sexual abuse and ensure justice for victims.
Moreover, after Shafi shared her allegations against Zafar, many women across Pakistan came forward to support her, with several sharing similar experiences with the Jhoom singer and alleging he had behaved inappropriately with them.
