Justice Qazi Faez Isa is currently in Europe due to summer vacation in the Supreme Court. Decisions regarding the appointment of judges in the Supreme Court are made by the Judicial Commission headed by the current Chief Justice of Pakistan.
The Judicial Commission held two separate meetings last month regarding the appointment of judges in Lahore and Sindh High Courts, on which Justice Qazi Faez Isa raised questions. Later both meetings were adjourned.

Justice Qazi Faez Isa wrote a letter to the Chief Justice, in which he said that he was currently abroad on leave, when he went on leave, there was no meeting of the Judicial Commission scheduled at that time. Meetings were convened while in my absence the third meeting of the Judicial Commission was convened on July 28.
Justice Qazi Faez Isa said that the Chief Justice should not make the forum of the Judicial Commission ridiculous, the tradition of considering pre-selected names of the Chief Justice in the Judicial Commission should end.
The Chief Justice wants the 2347 document to be reviewed within a week. The letter further states that the procedure for nomination of the Chief Justice of the High Court and senior judges should be considered before the bypass because the senior most judge of the Supreme Court has failed to map out the procedure for the nomination of judges.
Why the request to postpone the judicial commission meeting?
According to Justice Qazi Faez Isa, since the documents related to the meeting have not been given to me yet, thousands of these documents were sent to me on WhatsApp, out of which I got access to only 14 pages which cannot even be read, so that is the reason for postponing the meeting. .
Regarding vacations, he said in the letter that the Chief Justice himself had notified the summer vacations, if his own actions are meaningless for the Chief Justice, then instead of violating them, return them.
