A former Canadian Olympic snowboarder, Ryan James Wedding, has been placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list for allegedly masterminding an international drug trafficking network.
He is accused of transporting massive quantities of cocaine—thousands of pounds—from Colombia to Canada and the United States.
The FBI has announced a $10 million reward for information leading to Wedding’s capture, as he is believed to be hiding in Mexico. Authorities warn that he is considered “armed and dangerous.”
Wedding, who represented Canada in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and finished 24th in the parallel giant slalom event, is now accused of becoming a drug kingpin in the years since his athletic career.

According to an FBI statement, he allegedly oversaw the smuggling of hundreds of kilograms of cocaine from Colombia through Mexico and Southern California, and on to Canada and other U.S. destinations.
In October, a U.S. indictment charged Wedding, alongside Canadian Andrew Clark, 34, and 14 other co-conspirators, with operating the drug trafficking operation.

Clark was arrested in Mexico on October 8, approximately 10 days before the indictment was made public. Federal prosecutors allege that between January 2024 and August, the group used a Canada-based transportation network to move bulk quantities of cocaine from Southern California into Canada.
