KARACHI: A New Zealand journalist who came to Pakistan for the Pak-Australia cricket series has suggested his countrymen not to bring any wallets with them if they are travelling to Pakistan.
New Zealand journalist Andrew McLean said in a recent interview that the people of Pakistan are extremely hospitable and as a foreigner, they do not have to pay out of pocket to buy anything in the country because people are guests. They refuse to accept money from them, he maintained.
Andrew McLean, who travels freely in Pakistan, said that it was a lot of fun to travel on public transport in Pakistan, there are no security issues here. The real problem of Pakistan is not negative reporting but a lack of positive reporting, he said.

He said that Imran Khan, who is the prime minister of the country, is one of the biggest all-rounders in the world of cricket. “We have not forgotten the defeat of New Zealand team under the captaincy of Imran Khan in the semi-finals of 1992 World Cup,” he maintained.
Andrew McLean said that the purpose of his visit to Pakistan is to visit the country more than cricket.
