Mishal Bukhari is a well-known anchor of Express News, a popular news channel of Pakistan, and a trendsetter in news media as she has a different interactive style.
Career
Mishal served as a news anchor at Express News head office in Lahore. She joined the network in august 2007. She covered major breaking news stories across the country from FIA building bomb blast to Bhakkar blast, coverage of the historical long march for the reinstatement of a supreme court Chief Justice and other judges, ousted from office by former President Pervez Musharraf.
Before joining Express News, she was working as a sub-editor magazine and reporter for Daily Express for three years. She was also in charge of women, art and culture and agriculture edition.

She also worked at FM 101 as a presenter, where she used to do live shows. She was selected as one of the best six presenters out of another thirty presenters.
Mishal received a master’s degree in mass communication from the University of Punjab. During her master’s degree did the research on “The role of PTV drama in highlighting women’s issues.” It also collected all the data available in the rural non-governmental organization based in Pakistan, being retained in the library of the department of mass communication to facilitate the other students.
Illness
Mishal Bukhari passed away in Lahore. She was ill with cancer.
Journalist Rai Shahnawaz tweeted earlier saying “What terrible news to hear, what a tragic young death. Mishal Bukhari is no more. When I started my journalism career in 2007 in Express News, she was there as a fellow colleague and a refined human. She was fighting cancer but could not survive.”
