Journalist Sadaf Naeem, who died after fell from PTI’s long march container on Sunday, was 40 years old and mother of two. She was associated with the field of journalism for the past 14 years.
He started journalism with showbiz news and has been associated with the Khabrain Group since the beginning and currently working for the group TV Channel “Channel 5”
Sadaf’s husband Naeem Bhatti is a cameraman and films the wedding ceremonies.
Talking to media, he said: “We got married in 2000, we have two children, the elder daughter is 20 years old and the younger son is 14 years old.”
Naeem Bhatti said that the children try to stop her when she was leaving home to cover the long march today. “The children said, “Mama, don’t go to work today we miss you and you don’t remain in contact”, he added.
“On this she said that my children I have to go, but I will try to come soon, and she left after loving them,” the husband said.
Sadaf also used to host a program ‘Porany Geet Porani Ghazal’ on private TV channel 5. When the long march of Tehreek-e-Insaf started from Lahore, she was among the journalists who were allowed by the Tehreek-e-Insaf administrations to interview Imran Khan.
Shakeel Ahmed, a senior producer working in Channel 5, says “when she came back after interviewing Imran Khan, she was congratulated by Chief Executive Imtinan Shahid.”
Recently She also covered the Pakistan England cricket series played in Lahore. Sports journalist Sohail Imran says that “I have not seen a more hardworking reporter than Sadaf.”
Sadaf Naeem’s dead body has been sent from Sadhoki to Lahore, where his funeral prayer and burial will be held.
