Jyoti Malhotra, a 33-year-old travel vlogger from Hisar, Haryana, is known for her YouTube channel “Travel with Jo,” which boasts over 377,000 subscribers.
Her content primarily features travel vlogs from destinations including India, Pakistan, Indonesia, and China. On social media, she describes herself as a “Nomadic Leo Girl Wanderer” and a “Haryanvi + Punjabi” with a modern outlook.
Recently, Jyoti Malhotra was arrested by Indian authorities on charges of espionage for Pakistan. Investigations allege that she shared sensitive information about Indian military movements with Pakistani intelligence operatives.
Her arrest is part of a broader crackdown on an espionage network operating across Haryana and Punjab.
According to reports, Jyoti Malhotra first visited Pakistan in 2023 after obtaining a visa through commission agents.
During her visit, she reportedly met Ehsan-ur-Rahim, alias Danish, a staff member at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.
Subsequently, she traveled to Pakistan twice, where she was introduced to individuals identified as Pakistani intelligence operatives.
Authorities claim that she maintained contact with these operatives through encrypted messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Snapchat, allegedly sharing classified information.
Jyoti Malhotra has been charged under the Official Secrets Act and Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. She is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
