Who is Maha Dakhil?
The daughter of immigrant parents from Gaza, Dakhil is a 48-year-old Sunni Muslim of Caucasian origin who was born in Los Angeles in July 1975.
Since December 2013, she has been married to film producer Matt Jackson, with whom she has a daughter, Serene Jackson, while other facts about her children are unknown.

Her academic credentials include a law degree from the University of California-Los Angeles. Dakhil’s career began with the literary agency Genesis, where she was instrumental in the Time’s Up campaign.
Controversy
She was working as a talent agent at CAA, where she has significant responsibilities in the Motion Picture and International Film Groups when the controversy surrounding her resignation began from a now-deleted Instagram post in which she expressed her sadness about the Israel-Hamas war.
Dakhil in her post said, “What’s more heartbreaking than witnessing genocide? Witnessing the denial that genocide is happening.” She then faced internal backlash and resigned from the agency’s board after she also reposted an image on Instagram that read, in part, “You’re currently learning who supports genocide.” She had added in the caption, “That’s the line for me.”
After backlash from within and rivals agencies, Maha Dakhil had deleted both images and made a public apology. “I made a mistake with a repost in my Instagram Story, which used hurtful language. Like so many of us, I have been reeling with heartbreak. I pride myself on being on the side of humanity and peace,” Maha had said in a statement in October.
