Accused Natasha is the wife of Danish Iqbal, a prominent Pakistani businessman who serves as Chairman of Gul Ahmed Energy Limited and its subsidiaries, as well as Metro Power Group.
SHO Bahadurabad police Muhammad Naeem has confirmed that the accused, Natasha, is the wife of well-known businessman Danish Iqbal, against whom legal action is currently being taken.
It should be noted that Natasha was arrested after a road accident in Karachi on Monday, in which she killed a man and his daughter. A case has been registered against her at the Bahadurabad police station concerning the accident that occurred in the Karsaz area.
According to eyewitnesses, Natasha appeared to be intoxicated and attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by bystanders. The accident resulted in the deaths of a father and daughter, while five others were injured. The condition of one of the injured individuals is reported to be critical.
Meanwhile, criticism has surged on social media following the fatal Karsaz traffic incident. Some users claim that Natasha Danish, the wife of prominent businessman Danish Iqbal, is receiving VIP treatment in police custody.
One user wrote that despite causing the deaths of two people, Natasha is reportedly staying in an air-conditioned room at the police station rather than being in a lockup, attributing this to her wealth and influence. The user further argued that if the accused were a poorer individual, the police’s treatment would be markedly different.
