Let’s just agree, India’s famous film industry called Bollywood is best at making movies and entertaining audiences but unfortunately, when it comes to creating good music, the industry lacks.
Plagiarism in India is not new as Bollywood is known for copying Pakistani songs, without even giving them due credit. After the plagiarism case claimed by Abrar-ul-Haq against Karan Johar who copied Haq’s song ‘Nach Punjaban’ and used it in 2022’s movie ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’, and ‘Disco Deewane’ use in ‘An Action Hero’, the Indians have copied yet another Pakistani song.

Pakistani musician Farasat Anees called out the Indian music label for plagiarizing his song ‘BIBA,’ which was featured in the Pakistani Oscar-shortlisted movie ‘Joyland’. Taking to Instagram, he wrote, “Me and my brothers, Toshi and Slick Trick, worked day and night to bring this song where it is.”

He also wrote, “PLEASE HAVE SOME SHAME and stop ruining every good song from Pakistan.” Joyland is the first Pakistani movie to win awards at the Cannes Film Festival 2022. The movie stars Sarwat Gilani, Sania Saeed, Ali Junejo, Alina Khan, and Rasti Farooq.
