DOHA: Qatar has won the honor of being the best airport in the world in the World Airport Awards 2024.
According to the Sky World Airport Awards 2024, Qatar beat Singapore to be the world’s best airport. Singapore’s Changi Airport was left behind this year. Qatari capital Doha’s Hamad International Airport took the honor.
Changi Airport Singapore won the title of the best airport in the world 12 times in a row, while the title of the best airport was decided by Skytrax, which went to Hamad International Airport, which is expected to increase the number of tourists in the country.
The British company Skytrax determines the position of the airports every year in the light of the survey conducted by the passengers. According to the survey, airports are ranked in terms of facilities, and passenger feedback is given a lot of importance.
Qatar’s airport took the honor of being the best airport in the world this year. Indian print media (Daily Politics) says that Qatar Airport received this honor on the basis of its modern designs and best facilities for passengers, on which various personalities of Qatar expressed their happiness.
Earlier in 2023, Singapore Airport won this honor, while in 2021 and 2022, Doha took the honor of being the best airport. In 2020, Singapore was considered the best airport in the world. Doha’s achievement of the honor this year is of unique importance.
