American stand-up comedian Ali Wong’s ‘Single Lady’ will be available on October 8 on Netflix as the OTT platform has already released the trailer of the show. Described as raunchy, the special will have her discuss the highs, lows, and surprises of dating as a newly single woman.
Single Lady, which Wong directed and serves as executive producer as well, was filmed as part of her residency at The Wiltern in Los Angeles when she headlined Netflix Is A Joke Fest.
It is Wong’s fourth original stand-up performance for the platform, following her previous specials: Baby Cobra, Hard Knock Wife, and Don Wong.
Single Lady is a 59-minute stand-up special in which Wong explores the nuances of single life after her divorce from Justin Hakuta in 2022.
In the show, Wong openly discusses her experiences with dating post-divorce, humorously reflecting on the challenges and surprises that come with being single again. She notes that turning 40 has opened up a broad dating range, quipping about the age differences she encounters and the peculiarities of dating older men
Wong is one of seven standup comedians that Netflix will have new specials of on its platform. She will be joined by comedians Gabriel Fluffy Iglesias, Bert Kreischer, Deon Cole, Fortune Feimster, Jo Koy, and Michelle Buteau.
